I'm a Midwesterner-born and bred! One of the amazing occurrences in the Midwest is the Sandhill Crane migration! During March of 2022, I traveled to central Nebraska to photograph hundreds of thousands of Sandhill Cranes visiting the Platte River. The Sandhill Cranes converge on the Platte River to rest and feed as they travel from Texas, New Mexico and northern Mexico on their way to Alaska, Canada and Siberia! It was an incredible site to watch as they came in to roost in the evening and take off at dawn!
